It is easy for homeschooling moms to take themselves for granted. This is especially true for those who have careers other than homeschooling. Homeschooling itself should be well categorized as a career because of the demands that it carries. I can very much relate to the woes of mothers who are in the said circumstance. Nobody said it was ever going to be a walk in the park. But with the belief that we all carry with us, we endure, device a system and put all these into action and at the end of day, most of us come out with such fulfillment that makes everything all worth it.
Moving on to our own well being, it will almost be like a default that if we do not actively choose to check up on ourselves, we lose ourselves in being just mere homeschoolers. We are also our husband’s wife. That should be the priority, even. Truth be told, when we are distracted by all the nitty gritties of life, we forget this altogether. No, I’m not talking about taking those quick weight loss tips. But to generally take care of ourselves, not just for our respective husbands, but for our own well being as well. We should remain to be good stewards of this life that has been given us. And at the end of the day, your little homeschooler will as well benefit. A healthy mom makes for an effective and efficient teacher. 🙂
